Where to go now? — Overview of contact points
What best describes the situation?
Official emergency numbers
Valid nationwide and reachable around the clock; the emergency numbers are free of charge (143: 20 Rp. per call from a landline). 112 is the European emergency number: it works in many European countries even without credit and connects you to the locally responsible emergency dispatch centre.
Regional emergency service
There is no unified nationwide emergency service number — each canton has its own emergency service center. Through these official channels you can find the on-duty doctor, emergency pharmacy or dental emergency service in your region.
This page does not replace medical assessment and does not constitute a diagnosis. When in doubt and in any life-threatening situation, call 144.
